This is the halfway point of Arc 1, which will have 13 chapters.

This interlude is a story about the Second Doctor that can be read as a stand-alone (though all interludes will tie into the main plot later) that takes place after the events of "The War Games", his final broadcasted serial (excluding multi-Doctor specials) and utilizes the "season 6B" theory.

Bad things happen to Owen, Wilson gets hit on by the entire hospital, Jack accidentally spoils to House that yes, General Hospital does one day end, Tosh messes around with an alien phallic symbol that stimulates spiritual orgasms, and aliens invade Princeton-Plainsboro and attack Cameron and Ianto. And as if that isn’t enough, this is followed by an interlude featuring the Second Doctor and Jamie being menaced by monstrous mushrooms with big pointy teeth.

So is the Torchwood team, because Tosh and Ianto need to find it while avoiding Evil Nurse Brenda, Jack needs to stop hitting on Wilson while searching for the artifact, and Owen needs to keep punching out Cameron to convince House to take Gwen’s case. Oh yeah, and Gwen’s on the verge of death after beating up Ianto and stroking in the hospital lobby. No more coffee for her.
