Status Update: Saturday October 10, 2009

Now that the opening of Arc 2 has concluded (yes, it took 12 chapters to set up the story), Pirates and the Susan and Adric arc will alternate mini-arcs, meaning Pirates will run for a string of chapters followed by Susan and Adric, rinse and repeat. There won't be as much storyline jumping as has been the case thus far. Foreman and Gwen will continue to get a chapter at the rate of about one for every 10-15 of the other chapters. Discworld will continue at its own pace.

Chapter 26: Sparkling Tuna Parrots
Status: Writing
Completed: 17% (~3,300 words)
Notes: Pirates chapter. Currently unspeakably long and almost certain to get broken up now that 1/3 of Birds of a Feather got shoved into this chapter. Cameron and Olli will not appear in this chapter.

Chapter 27: Untitled Discworld/Fourth Doctor Chapter

If you are reading this post and wondering when the hell the next chapter is coming out, please comment and answer the questions: 1) Which community (or fanfiction.net if that's the case) you get updates through and 2) Whether the Susan and Adric chapters should be posted as separate chapters or only ever attached to "Main Story" chapters when we update the comms, like we did with interludes (Basically, right now, if an SA chapter gets posted without a corresponding 10 or 4 chapter, we don't announce it on comms until a 10 or 4 chapter gets posted). And yes, answering these questions does help get chapters out faster 'cause it reminds us to write rather than get some sleep.
